Declaration of Independence

Independence Day

Happy Independence Day

In 1776

Or so the story told

On the 4th of July

That year it all began

The Continental Congress

Began this marching band

When the American Revolution

Was going underway

Jefferson and some others

Decided to help the day

There they signed a paper

That changed America

The Declaration of Independence

Lasted for years to come

When England learned about this

They really blew their staff

That didn't stop the colonists

From never turning back

The Second Continental Congress

Declared everyone free

Giving all of them the right

Of life and liberty

(Speaking): And the pursuit of happiness. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal and they were endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights. Among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. (Singing): To every US citizen

It's my duty to say

Have very good time and

Happy Independence Day
